| | The fourth and final sampler for the Way Of | |
| | The Samurai represents the full stylistic | |
| | diversity of the label Samurai Music. Hobzee | |
| | & Zyon Base were asked to design a tune | |
| | specifically for this project and when "1000 | |
| | Paper Cranes" arrived in the inbox it was | |
| | obvious they had a very firm grasp on the | |
| | sound the label was looking for. Fluid, | |
| | gliding vibes and a subtle sexy vocal ease | |
| | the tune into its rhythm. The breaks and bass | |
| | provide a step reminiscent of Photek to the | |
| | eastern sonics that unwind themselves around | |
| | the rhythm. A blissful excursion that | |
| | continues on from where their sublime 'Rain | |
| | On Lens' began, this tune has been receiving | |
| | heavy play from all those lucky enough to get | |
| | an advanced copy. Now its your turn to | |
| | embellish your sets with this beautifully | |
| | crafted piece of sonic architecture. "Empty | |
| | Handed" is another collaboration from rising | |
| | New Zealand production stars Trei & Dose. A | |
| | trademark epic intro becomes unsettled by a | |
| | nervous piece of riffage. Bongo's lay down | |
| | the steps for the drum roll that gives way to | |
| | the heavy rolling drop. This tune has an | |
| | energetic bounce that combines elements of | |
| | former tunes by these guys like "Shame", | |
| | "Valium Express" and "The Other Part Of Me" & | |
| | "Dirt". A sure fire dancefloor weapon and a | |
| | sign of the greatness to come from these two | |
| | talents. | |
